Mark Ruben Scoggins

Mark Ruben Scoggins, 63, of 113 Denali St. passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Born in Spartanburg, SC on October 8, 1954, he was a son of the late Jerry Clark Scoggins Sr. and Ozelle (Richards) Scoggins and was the loving husband of Diane (Curtis) Scoggins having celebrated 43 years of marriage. Mr. Scoggins was a member of Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, Diane, he is also survived by two sons, Jeff Lawson (Kim) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Kevin Lawson (Stephanie) of Inman, South Carolina; three daughters, Pamela Simmons (Todd) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Cheryl Lawson (Jerry) of Boiling Springs, South Carolina and Brenda Lawson of Spartanburg, South Carolina; three sisters, Dianne Kennedy (Glenn) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Susan Melton of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Lana McCraw of Spartanburg, South Carolina; ten grandchildren, Jordan Lawson (Hannah), Jenna Lawson, Steven Ledford (Brooke), Shawn Ledford, Brittany Lawson, Kevin Lawson II, Matthew Satterfield, Heather Bradley, Chelsea Ledford and Sarah Alexander; seven great-grandchildren, Cameron Ledford, Cassidy Ledford, Kansas Ledford, Layla Scott, Heaven Nash, Asher Lawson and Sophia Ledford along with many bonus grands and great grands. He was predeceased by one brother, Jerry Clark Scoggins, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC, at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 with Pastor Jack Polin officiating.
