Mr. Mark Douglas Johnson, 50, of 211 Red Haven Drive passed away on Sunday, March 28th, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Spartanburg, SC on June 24, 1959, he was the son of Marcus E. Johnson of Campobello and Cora Lee (Chapman) Whitfield of Inman and was the loving husband of Elizabeth Andrea Johnson having celebrated 19 wonderful years. .

Mr. Johnson was graduate of Chapman High School "Class of 1977" and was the President and owner of Johnson Communications which was founded in 1980. Mark was a very generous and loving man that never passed anyone that needed help without helping them. He was also blessed with the ability to play many instruments, but his love was the guitar.

He was a member of Gramling United Methodist Church and attended New Beginnings United Methodist Church in Boiling Springs.

He is also survived by two daughters, Maddison Johnson and Lauren Ashley Partlow; two grandchildren, Shelby Elizabeth Partlow and Olivia Ashton Partlow; three siblings, Paula Ruehling, Jennie Johnson and Robbie Johnson. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Paul and Lora Johnson and his maternal grandparents, CE and Jamie Chapman.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. A celebration of Life service will be held at New Beginnings United Methodist Church in Boiling Springs at 3PM on Wednesday, March 31st, with Rev. Thomas Smith and Bobbie Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Gramling United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gramling, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SAFE Homes, 236 Union St. Spartanburg, SC 29302 or New Beginnings United Methodist Church, building fund, 210 Rainbow Lake Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
