Boiling Springs, SC--- Marjorie Mae Bishop Trotter, 92, of 529 Lois Way Boiling Springs, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, South Carolina.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on February 7, 1928, she was a daughter of the late WIlliam Landrum Bishop and Eula Minnie (Wofford) Bishop and was the wife of the late Broadus William "Bill" Trotter.
Mrs. Trotter was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church, worked as a secretary for Tom's Peanuts for more than 35 years and also worked for Mary Black Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Anne Owens of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; one son, Thomas Raymond Bennett, Jr. of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; and several step-children. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cynthia Anne Elder, Charles Jeffrey Elder, Jerry Wayne Sneed, Jr., Katherine Anne Cummings, Matthew Bennett, Brian Biggs, Amanda Gayle Wilcox and Larena Jackson; and one step grandson, Jerry Lewis Owens and many great grandchldren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by one son, James Edwin Bennett.
Mrs. Trotter was the youngest of nine children and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Covenant Baptist Church, 200 Evangel Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301 from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM.
A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM at Covenant Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hensley officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
