Mr. Marion Delen Gosnell, 77 of 151 Seigle Dr, Inman passed away Friday, January 2nd, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC.
Mr. Gosnell was born in Spartanburg, SC on June 20, 1931, the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Edith (Martin) Gosnell. He was the husband of Lucile (West) Gosnell of 58 years.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons: Phillip A. Gosnell and wife Eunice of Boiling Springs, Barney G. Gosnell and wife Elaine of Spartanburg, 5 grandchildren: January Gosnell of Inman, Lindsay Gosnell of Charlotte, Anderson Gosnell of Spartanburg, Cynthia "Cindy" Cartee of Spartanburg, Jessica Smith of Piedmont, 4 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Brittany, Hunter Cartee and A.J. Smith. He was predeceased by 2 sisters: Arlene Gosnell and Permethia Burnett and 1 brother: E.J. Gosnell.
Mr. Gosnell retired from Bigelow-Sanford (Landrum Mills) after 37 years service and was a member of Inman First Freewill Baptist Church.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday 2-3 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 4th, with Rev. Earl Hendrix officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
