Marie Harris Benfield, 86, of 112 Heritage Lane, Easley, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at her home.
Marie was born in Spartanburg on September 6, 1933, a daughter of the late Annie Mae Collins Harris and Louis Harris and was the widow of William Kermit Benfield. She retired from textiles and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Inman.
She is survived by a son; Gary Benfield of Inman, a daughter; Grace Grindstaff of Wellford, two brothers; Charlie Harris and James Harris of Boiling Springs, two sisters; Ellen Morris and Verdie Cash of Cowpens, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a brother, Ray Harris, and two sisters, Margie Fowler and Willie Mae Cash.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Thursday, August 13th at 2:00 PM conducted by Rev. Rudy Halstead. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Seawright Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the service in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.
