Williamston, SC---Mrs. Marian Elizabeth Bailey Rash, 73, of 112 Mahaffey Rd. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 6th, 2009 at her residence.
Born in Greensboro, NC on May 15, 1936, she was the daughter of the late James (Jim)L. Bailey and Margaret (Lee) Bailey of Valley Falls Nursing Home and was the loving wife of Mr. Zade (Z.D.) Rash having celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Mrs. Rash was a graduate of Inman High School Class of 1953, a member of Big Creek Baptist Church in Williamston and was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Cindy Clanton and her husband James of Greenville and Tina Liptak and her husband James of Newberry; five sisters, Marie Bollinger of Irmo, Sybil Burch of Inman, Judy Prince of Simpsonville, Nancy Bailey of Simpsonville and Carolyn Medlin of Greer; and one brother, Jim Bailey of Spartanburg and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Amy Rash.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Big Creek Baptist Church, 820 S. Hamilton St., Williamston, SC 29697 on Sunday, August 9th, at 4PM with Rev. Mitch Gambrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 at the church.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 2PM with Rev. Jack Sisk officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
