Inman, SC--- Margie Mathis Tucker, 85, of 59 Blackstock Road, Inman, SC, but formerly of 16071 Asheville Hwy. Campobello, SC passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Lake Emory Post Acute Care in Inman. Born in Spartanburg County on May 19, 1930, she was daughter of the late Lettie (Roddy) Mathis and George G. Mathis, Sr. She was first married to the late Hershell Reynolds and was the widow of Clarence Tucker. Mrs. Tucker was a graduate of Cecil's Business College and retired from American Federal Savings and Loan as the Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager with over 30 years in banking. She was a Charter Member of Little Mountain Baptist Church where she was the church treasurer for 30 years.
Margie is survived by a son, Stan Reynolds and his wife Teresa of Belmont, NC, a sister, Lorene Phillips and her husband James of Inman, SC and two grandchildren, Justin Reynolds of Campobello, SC and William "Will' Reynolds and his wife Stephanie of Boiling Springs, SC. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Harold Mathis, George Mathis, Jr. and Paul Mathis. Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 12, 2015 with Rev. Ansel Norris officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to the American Diabetes Association, 119 Eastwood Circle, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
