Margie Magdalene Ercolano

Spartanburg, SC---Margie "Maggie" Magdalene Ercolano, 80, of 646 Overhill Dr., Spartanburg, SC, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at her home. Maggie was born in Spartanburg, SC on June 25, 1935, a daughter of the late Margie (Hunnicutt) Heniger and Caleb Daniel Richards. She was the widow of Salvatore "Sal " A. Ercolano and was first married to the late David Warren Knox, Sr. She worked as a sitter in private homes and nursing homes and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Jewell Dean Carner, of Cowpens; two sons, Charles E Knox, of Duncan; Bruce David Knox, of Cowpens; a sister, Roxie Anna Keller, of Spartanburg, two grandchildren, Sherry Dawn Cook, Sarah Magdalene Roberts, one great grandson, David Lee Cook and one great great grandson Dawson Luke Cook. She was predeceased by a son, David W Knox, Jr, and two brothers, Caleb D Richards, Jr and Ray J Richards. The body will lie in state at her home from Monday, December 28th until Saturday, January 2nd. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM at the Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman conducted by Rev. Calvin Branch. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Spartanburg.
