Margaret Louise Dover Smith, 89, of 12 3rd St. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC. Born in the Brooklyn community of Spartanburg County on November 23, 1925,she was a daughter of the late Pearl (Hill) and Ralph Charlie Dover and was the widow of James E. "Pug" Smith. She worked as a seamstress at Raycord for many years and was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, James "Eddie" Smith and his wife Linda of Inman, SC; two sisters, Ruth Loftis and her husband Dewey of Inman, SC and Ola Morris along with two granddaughters, Wendy Smith and LeAnn Smith. She was predeceased by one son, Wayne C. Smith and two brothers and two sisters. Graveside services will be held at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 with Rev. Mark Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Home of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Rd., Landrum, SC 29356.
