Margaret Lou "Peggy" Irvin Moon, 90, of 212 Copper Meadow Lane in Inman, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at her residence.
Peggy was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on August 21, 1935, a daughter of the late Zella Miller Irvin and John Richard Irvin and was the widow of William A. "Bill" Moon. She was a homemaker and a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church where she was a member of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class and the Women's Missionary Union.
She is survived by two daughters; Susan Moon and Sherry Moon of Inman, two sons; Ricky Moon and his wife Ruth, Scott Moon and his wife Maryann, all of Inman, two brothers; Gene Irvin of Mechanicsburg, PA, Terry Irvin and his wife, Sue, Shiremanstown, PA, a sister; Joyce Irvin of Camp Hill, PA, a sister in law; Louise Irvin, of Brownsburg,Indiana, five grandchildren; Heath Moon, Blake Moon (Tiffany), Lance Moon (Natalie), Will Moon, Marly Moon, seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family is at the home and will receive friends 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, May 8th at Inman Mills Baptist Church in Inman.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 8th at Inman Mills Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Smith and Dr. Jerry White officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Greer. Serving as pallbearers are Heath Moon, Lance Moon, Will Moon, Colby Moon, Kyler Moon, Daniel Hall and serving as honorary escorts will be the T.E.L. Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman Mills Baptist Church, 22 B Street, Inman, SC 29349.
