Inman, SC – Margaret Lucille McSwain (Macille), 88, of 4020 Peachtree Road, Inman, SC passed away on August 15, 2013 at Mary Black Hospital. She was a loving big hearted woman who always gave to others and extended her hand of generosity and love to all she met. She enjoyed delivering fresh peaches and vegetables to her family and friends. She took great joy in cooking big meals and filling her home with people she loved. Macille was a real inspiration to others because she always believed in working hard, doing your best and caring for others. She was born on June 20, 1925 in Spartanburg County. She was the widow of B.W. McSwain and the daughter of the late Albert and Corrie Painter. Surviving are two children, daughter Barbara Yelton and spouse Don of Inman, SC and son Donald McSwain and spouse Linda of Griffin, GA. Three grandchildren, Donette Stewart, Rita Lawter, and Jason McSwain and spouse Jamie and six great grandchildren Holly and Dillon Lawter, Stephanie and Zachary Stewart, and Selvie and Mallory McSwain. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Painter.
She was a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church. She retired from Hamrick's Incorporated and worked many years at S&S Manufacturing. She was a lifelong farmer and SC Gamecock fan.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 17 at 11am at Sandy Springs Baptist Church at 382 Sandy Springs Road, Rutherfordton, NC followed by her funeral at noon.
The family will be at the home of Don and Barbara Yelton, 4050 Peachtree Rd, Inman, SC
