Margaret Carolyn Johnson


Margaret Carolyn Johnson, 85, of 145 Brookview Drive, Inman, passed away Tuesday, July 9th, at Spartanburg Medical Center with her family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted servant of the Lord.

Carolyn was born in Spartanburg on July 30, 1938, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Fisher Jackson and was the wife of Grady Leon Johnson with over 67 years of marriage.

She was a 1956 graduate of Chapman High School and had retired from Springs Industries. Carolyn was a devoted member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Inman where she was very active in her Sunday School, United Methodist Women, and various other committees and functions where she could be beneficial to help others.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a daughter; Robin Hollenbach and her husband Bill of Inman, a grandson, Will Hollenbach (Megan) of Greenville, two sisters; Judy Hughes (Mickey) and Bobbie Collins, both of Inman, eight nieces and nephews and thirteen great nieces and nephews.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 13th at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 13th at Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, conducted by Rev. Joe Blackwelder.

Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 690 Park Road, Inman, SC 29349
