Margaret Bright Hendrix, aged 85 years, passed away on the first day of Spring, March 20th 2012; she was surrounded by family and Agape Hospice support.
Born in Greenville County, SC she was a daughter of the late James Alver Bright and Sallie Bishop Bright. She was predeceased by her first husband Jesse E. Aultman. After his death, she remarried Harold Hendrix who passed in 1997. She was a retired textile worker and a devout Christian; first of the Pentecostal and later of the Baptist faith. She was a former resident of Laurens SC and Inman SC.
Surviving is her oldest son Alver and daughter-in-law Nancy Aultman of Gray Court SC; her daughter Ann and son-in-law Jimmy Simmons of Lugoff SC; her youngest son Walt and daughter-in-law Connie Hendrix of Rosman, NC; four grandchildren, Lee Aultman, Amanda Simpson and her husband Charles, Sallie King, and Michael Simmons and his wife Laurel; nine great grandchildren, Will and Wes Aultman, Hannah, Heather & Hope King, Bayne and Finley Simmons, and Ashton and Logan Simpson.
She was predeceased by an infant son, a sister Naomi Franks, a brother James Bright, a granddaughter Traci Aultman, a grandson Jason Simmons, and a grandson-in-law James King.
A graveside celebration will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday March 31st at Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Compton Bridge Rd in Inman, SC. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the committal service.
