Margaret Mae Kimmons, 81, wife of James E. Kimmons went home to her Savior on Tuesday, March 24, at Mountainview Nursing Home after a long illness. Mrs. Kimmons was born in Inman and was the daughter of the late William C. and Elizabeth Ravan Owens. She was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by a daughter, Judy and Randy Bishop, two sons, Father Steven Kimmons and Les and Denise Kimmons. Grannie Mae leaves behind four granddaughters and their husbands, Karen and Tim Thompson, Cindy and Gordon Garnett, Neale and Daniel Caballero, and Alex Kimmons. She is also survived by six great- grandchildren, Josh and Lauren Thompson, Scott, Becky, and Brayden Garnett and Nicholas Caballero. She was predeceassed by five brothers and one sister.
Services will be conducted at Inman Mills Baptist Church at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2009 by Rev. Jack Hames, Father Steven Kimmons, and Rev. Hubert Maxwell. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home of Judy Bishop at 310 Zimmerman Road and will receive friends Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Inman Mills Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Mountainview Nursing Home and especially her roommate, Mrs. Edna Price.
