Madge Powell Reid, 90, of 691 Farms Bridge Rd. passed away Sunday, November 4th, at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC.
Mrs. Reid was born in Boiling Springs, SC on October 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Booker and Laura Hightower Powell. She was the widow of C L. Reid, Jr. and a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church. She was a longtime employee of Magnolia Manor of Inman.
Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Clobes and her husband "Butch", Teresa Reid and her friend Greg Rhodes also of Inman, three sisters, Lila Suddeth of Cherokee Springs, SC, Minnie Lee Ravan and Ila Pace both of Inman. She had two grandchildren, Shannon Clobes and his wife Kimberly of Inman and Adam Clobes also of Inman, three great-grandchildren, twins, Zoe and Jacob Clobes and also Canaan Clobes.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Holston Creek Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Reggie Parker. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.The visitation will be held Monday evening, 11/05/2012 at Seawright Funeral Home from 6 to 7:30 PM. The family will be at the home.
