Lynn Shipman Powers, 61, of 133 Moores Farm Drive, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Lynn was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on April 6, 1956, a daughter of Louise Lowe Shipman and the late Billy Andrew Shipman. She was the wife of William Michael Powers, was formerly employed at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church. Lynn is survived by a daughter, Heather Powers Etheredge and her husband, Drew, of Wellford, South Carolina; a son, John Michael Powers, of Inman, South Carolina, and one grandson, Carson Etheredge. In addition to her father, Lynn was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Wayne Shipman. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Seawright Funeral Chapel, conducted by, Dr Reggie Parker. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home immediately following the service. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway Suite 2700, New York, N.Y., 10006.
