Lynda Carole Slaughter Green, 80, formerly of 14 Doe Circle, Inman, Scouth Carolina, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Windsor House Assisted Living, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Lynda was born in Lake Providence, Louisiana on July 14, 1938, a daughter of the late Jesse Owen Slaughter and Rosie Cogbill Slaughter. She was the widow of James Oliver "Jim" Green.
Lynda is survived by three daughters, Lalia Taylor and her husband, Michael, of Startex, South Carolina; Debi Close and her husband, Billy, of Inman, South Carolina; Amy Bradley and her husband, Scott, of Panama City, Florida.; a son, James D Green and his wife, Phyllis, of Huddleston, Virginia; a sister, Judith Marie Weaver and her husband, Leo, of Lakeland, Florida. Mrs. Green is also survived by five grandchildren, Dustin Taylor and his wife, Amber, Hunter Taylor, Avery Bradley, Lyndi Bradley and her husband, Jake, Jess Green and two great-grandchildren, Polly Willow Taylor and Makenzie Mae Taylor.
Private graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, South Carolina, conducted by, Rev. Donna Stroud. The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Lalia and Michael Taylor, 139 Spartanburg Road, Startex, South Carolina, 29377.
