Luther Mayes Brady

Inman, SC---Mr. Luther Mayes Brady, 85, of 200 Fortress Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23rd, 2010.
Born in Spartanburg County on March 13, 1925, he was the husband of Mrs. Velma (Harmon) Brady who survives him having celebrated 61 years of marriage, and was the son of the late William Franklin and Annie (Charles) Brady.
Mr. Brady was the owner of B&B Cleaners in Chesnee for more than 40 years and was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Parris and her husband Mike and Nancy Johnson and her husband Donald; one son, Randy Brady and his wife Tammy; one twin brother, Ludie Brady; and one sister Bernice Newman all of Inman; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, William Brady and one sister, Hazel Brady.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 7-9PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Lake Bowen Baptist Church at 10AM on Thursday, August 26th, with Rev. Mark Williams and Rev. Beryl Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs.
