Lucy Mae Wooten

Lucy Mae Sloan Wooten, 97, of Inman, SC, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Upstate Community Hospice House, Landrum.

Lucy was born in Marietta, SC on July 5, 1927, a daughter of the late Phebe Adelie (Lincolnfelt) and Bud Buren Sloan. Her suvivors include her daughter, Jessie Mae Wooten Reynolds: a sister, Wanda Shipman: three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by, a son Lonnie Gene Wooten: three brothers , James Gilbert Sloan, David Daniel Sloan and Sherman George Sloan: one sister, Geneva Waldrop: and one grandson.

Lucy was a retired cloth inspector and a member of Cox Chapel Baptist Church in Marietta, SC.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC, from 10:00 until 10:45 AM, funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Dr. Tommy Turner and Rev. Doug Godfrey officiating.

Burial will follow in Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery Wellford.
