Lucy Maxine Rogers, 93, of 2 McMillin Circle Inman, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at Magnolia Manor of Inman.
Lucy was born in Inman on March 13, 1922, a daughter of the late Florence Elizabeth Hutchison Rogers and David Eugene Rogers. She served in the United States Women's Army Auxiliary Corps during WW II and retired as a cashier at Bo's Fish Camp.
She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church, a member of the VFW, American Legion Post #45, American Legion Post #45 Women's Auxiliary, and Woodmen of the World.
She was the last survivor of her immediate family, having been predeceased in addition to her parents, by three brothers; Ray Rogers, Sr., Tom Rogers and Hugh Rogers, and five sisters; Lenna Owens, Geraldine Fisher, Ruth Morgan, Marie Sanders, and Virginia Anderson.
Lucy is survived by nieces and nephews and a special friend of 60 years, Marshall Wood.
The family is at the home and will receive friends 2:00 - 3:00 Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow in Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Dr. Paul Moore and Rev. Jeff Cochran. Burial with military honors will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In addition to flowers, memorials may also be made to Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
