Lucille Spakes Seay, 95, of 2695 Abbey Ridge Road, Conyers, GA, passed away Sunday, January 13th, at Rockdale Healthcare Center, in Conyers.
She was born in Spartanburg, SC on November 11, 1917, a daughter of the late Lula Seay Pike and Clarence Pike and was the widow of Enoch Seay. She was first married to the late John Spakes. She had worked as a meat cutter at Spakes Grocery and had worked in the garment industry. She was a member of North Pacolet Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Frances Mullins of Conyers, GA, a stepson, Stanley "Butch" Seay of Inman, SC, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter. She was also predeceased by a son, James D. "Donnie" Spakes as well as two sisters and three brothers.
The family is at the home of Mary Spakes Morris at 9 Orchard Lane, Inman and will receive friends Thursday 1-2:00pm and following the service at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 17th, conducted by Rev. Kenneth Moore. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
