Lucille Brice Owens, 90, of 415 Bunny Run, Spartanburg, SC, formerly of 19 3rd Street, Inman passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her home. Lucille was born in Spartanburg, SC on January 13, 1926, a daughter of the late Elmer and Mattie (Skinner) Brice. She was the widow of Charles Benton "Snowball" Owens, retired from Abbott Laboratories and was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church in Inman. Lucille is survived by two daughters, Laura Jane Cantrell, of Spartanburg; Jody Worbois, of Spartanburg; a son, Keith Owens, of Campobello; four sisters, Jean Cash, of Charlotte, NC; Doris Bridges, of Kings Mtn, NC; Lois Bundrick, of Fountain Inn; Myrtle Hughes, of Anderson, three grandchildren, Tad Lancaster, Missie Mitchell (Billy), Travis Owens (Pam), and three great grandchildren, William Mitchell, Cason Owens and Camden Owens. She was predeceased by two great grandchildren, Chelsey and Carlyn Mitchell. The family is at the home and will receive friends Friday immediately following the service at Good Shepherd Memorial Park. Graveside services will be held at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, SC, at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 14th, with Chaplain Andrew Fischer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chelsey and Carlyn Mitchell Scholarship Fund, Supporters of District One Schools, P0 Box 218, Campobello, SC 29322, ATTN: Laura McCraw.
