Tryon, NC---Mrs. Lucille Page Hall, 94, of 70 Oak St., Tryon but formerly of 520 Gramling School Road, Inman went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 at White Oak Manor in Tryon.
Born in Spartanburg County on March 23, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Osborne "J.O." and Mary (McDowell) Page and was the wife of the late Joseph Cullen Hall.
Mrs. Hall was a graduate of Gramling High School and also a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church where she served in the former Dorcas Co-workers Sunday School Class and also on the hostess committee.
She retired from S&S Manufacturing where she worked as a supervisor. After her retirement she went to work for District One Schools assisting in lunchroom duties. She also enjoyed doing seamstress work from her home.
She was the matriarch of five generations. She is survived by one son, Don Hall and his wife Ann of Inman; one brother, Milton "Bud" Page and his wife Alsie of Inman; one sister, Kathleen Gwinn of Lyman; two grandchildren, Susan Atkins and her husband Joey and Todd Hall; four great-grandchildren, Joseph Atkins, Casey Atkins and his wife Olena, Paige Hall and Alyssa Hall; and three great-great grandchildren, Seth Atkins, Anya Atkins and Mya Johnson. She was predeceased by one son, James Maurice Hall; one brother, Furman "Jim" Page; and four sisters, Rosa Mathis, Mildred Davis, Mattie Lee Hayes and Lonnie Grant.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 9,2012 from 2-3PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM with Dr. Reggie Parker officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holston Creek Baptist Church "New Sanctuary Fund", 311 Holston Creek Road, Inman, SC 29349 or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
The family is at the home of her son, Don and his wife Ann Hall, 551 Gramling School Road, Inman. The family would like to express a very special thank you to the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, employees of White Oak Manor-Tryon, Isaac Bryant, Mary Duncan, Rick Powell and Frances Hyatt.
