Lucille Clayton, 92, of the Holly Springs Community, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Ashlan Village in Lyman, SC.
Lucille was born in Inman, S.C. on October 17, 1928, a daughter of the late Emma (Watson) Babb and Robert Hunter Babb.
She was the widow of Gerall Granville Clayton, was a homemaker and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where she served in many capacities.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Martha Allen and husband Louie of Spartanburg, Geraldine Underwood and husband Wayne of Campobello, Gail Seastrunk of Inman, 3 grandchildren, 8 great, grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Mrs Clayton was the last surviving member of her family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev David Tate. The family will greet friends in the family Life Center following the service
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church, 251 Hannon Road, Inman, SC 29349.
The family would like to extend a thank you to a special niece, Vivian Watson and the staff of Ashlan Village for their loving care for Mrs. Clayton.
