Loyd Robert Woody, 74, of 557 Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg. Loyd was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 9, 1950, a son of the late Orrie (Bright) Woody and Wilbur Robert Woody. He was a self-employed truck driver.

Loyd is survived by a daughter, Amanda Stone, of Piedmont, SC; two sons, Robert Woody, of Mayo, SC; James Woody, of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Lorra Ivey, of Spartanburg, SC, a brother, Fank Ivey, of Spartanburg, SC; 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the South Carolina National Guard.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 27th at Arcadia Methodist Church with Rev Ed Traxler officiating.
