Loyd C. Holtsclaw, 71, of 311 Grandfather Drive, Inman, SC, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Loyd was born in Jonesborough, TN on February 3, 1947, a son of the late James Ed and Carrie Lee (Phillips) Holtsclaw. He was the husband of Rebecca (Ellison) Holtsclaw. He retired from Rockwell Automation in Greenville, SC and was a member of Cedar View Independent Methodist Church in Kingsport, TN. He was also a charter member of the Holly Springs Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his wife, Loyd is survived by a daughter, Ginger Ellison, of Inman, SC; two sons, Joseph Holtsclaw, of Pauline, SC; Michael Holtsclaw, of Inman, SC; three sisters, Joyce Bailey, of Jonesborough, TN; Sylvia Curtis, of Wellford, SC; Vicki Johnson, of Lyman, SC; two brothers, Jim Holtsclaw, of Jonesborough, TN; Bert Holtsclaw, of Ridgeland, SC. and five grandchildren, Brianna Blalock, Ryan Blalock, Ashton Willis, Zoe Holtsclaw and Jade Holtsclaw. The family is at the home and will receive friends Monday, July 30, 2018 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM on Monday, July 30th at Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, SC with Rev James B. Fields officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
