Lonnie Wallace Corn, 77, of 1480 Edwards Road, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, South Carolina. Lonnie was born in Inman, South Carolina, on November 28, 1939, a son of the late Andrew "Andy" Franklin Corn and Thelma Horton Corn. He was the husband of Ruth Ann Bridges Corn. Mr. Corn served in the United States Navy, was retired from Hilton Davis Chemical Company, a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church of Inman, South Carolina and an avid outdoorsman. In addition to his wife, Lonnie is survived by two sons, David J. Corn, of Inman, South Carolina; Gary W. Corn, of Tryon, North Carolina; a daughter, Karen C. Daugherty and her husband, Shayne, of Inman, South Carolina; a brother, Glenn Corn and his wife, Barbara, of Campobello, South Carolina; a sister in law, Jean Morris Corn of Inman, South Carolina; three granddaughters, Sarah Davis and her husband, Josh; Emily Anne Corn and her fiance, Parks McLean, and Cora Ann Daugherty. In addition to his parents, Mr. Corn was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Wayne Corn and a sister Geraldine Owens.
Visitation will be held, Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM at Rock Hill Baptist Church of Inman, with funeral services to follow at 3:30 PM conducted by Rev. Monty King. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, South Carolina. The family is at the residence.
