Mrs. Lois Ann (Mills) Weatherly, 74, of 180 Lanford St. went home to be with her Lord Friday, August 5th, 2011 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC.
Mrs. Weatherly was born in Polk County, NC on June 9, 1937, the daughter of the late Russell Festus and Ivey (Vess) Mills. She was the beloved wife of James A . Weatherly.
Mrs. Weatherly was a longtime member of Campobello First Baptist Church and the Love Sunday School Class. She worked for many years as the office manager for Dr. William Bozine in Spartanburg.
Other survivors include two step sisters, Betty Gail Taylor and her husband Johnny and Janice Smith and her husband Dale all of Rutherfordton, NC, a sister-in-law Linda Mills of Boiling Springs, SC and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Weatherly was predeceased by her step father, Rev. Paul Stepp, a brother Larry F. Mills and a step brother, Billy Stepp.
Funeral services will be held at Campobello First Baptist Church at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 8th, with Rev. Michael Bragg and Pastor Jason Mills officiating. The family will receive friends in the church Monday, from 12:30 to 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the Cooper's Gap Baptist Church Cemetery, 730 Cooper's Gap Rd., Mill Spring, NC 28756.
