Lois Miller Prince

March 29, 1919 — September 19, 2010

Inman, SC---Mrs. Lois Giles Miller Prince, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, of 17 Gosnell Ave. passed away Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at the Smith Phayer Hospice House in Landrum.

Born in Polk County, NC on March 29, 1919 the daughter of the late Theron and Mollie (Burns) Giles. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence "Pete" Miller and her second husband, Ray Prince along with her brother, Thad Eugene Giles.

She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church, serving as Sunday School teacher for the 5 year olds for 25 years and was a member of the Philathen Sunday School Class. She was also a Charter member of the Better Homes and Gardens Club of Inman.

Surviving are her son, Peter B. Miller of Inman; two grandchildren, David A. Miller and Jason L. Miller and his wife Megan of Powdersville; four step grandchildren, Regan Prince, Paula Prince Burton, Patrick Prince, Christopher Prince; four great-grandchildren, Austin Miller, Preston Miller, Mollie Miller and Caleb Miller; and sister-in-law and loving caretaker, Martha Giles of Davis, NC.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 2:30-4:00 PM in the Atrium of the Inman First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM with Dr. Paul Moore officiating. A private burial will follow.
