Lois Owens Gantt, 80, of 192 Dillard Street, Arcadia, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg.
Lois was born in Woodruff, on August 9, 1934; a daughter of the late Sallie Fowler Owens and Clarence Owens and was the widow of Willie Clyde Gantt, having celebrated 61 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by three daughters; Gail Elder and husband Robert, Karen Pearson and husband Donnie, and Linda Navy, all of Inman; a son; Larry Joe Gantt of the home; two sisters; Mabel Lee of Wellford and Lottie Mae Kirby of Duncan; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Roy Owens and two sisters; Grace Smith and Henrietta Simmons. The family is at 117 Sonora Drive, Inman and will receive friends Friday, February 27th, 11:00 until 1:00 at Seawright Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Ft. Prince Memorial Gardens, Wellford, at 2:00 on Friday, February 27th, with Rev. David Bosler officiating. In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Ave., Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
