Linda Gail Hayes

Linda Gail Hayes, 80, of 460 Zellen Drive Spartanburg, SC, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at Terra Bella Assisted Living in Spartanburg.

Linda was born in Spartanburg, SC on May 24, 1944, a daughter of the late Mable (Kite) Penland and Avery Homer Penland.

She was the widow of James Marcus Hayes, retired from Arrow Automotive and was of the Baptist Faith. 

Linda is survived by a daughter, Teresa Layton and husband Monty, of Roebuck, SC; two sisters, Ruby Smith, of Campobello, SC; Shirley Westbrook, of Spartanburg, SC., 2 grandchildren, Ethan Layton (Ashton), Austin Layton (Autumn) and 2 great grandchildren, Riley and Easton Layton.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 28th at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, SC with Rev. Chris Snelgrove officiating.
