Linda Kay Dukes

Kay Dukes, 80, of Inman, SC, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Upstate Community Hospice House, in Landrum. Kay was born in Rutherfordton, NC, on August 2, 1943. She was a daughter of the late Roy Gurney, and Annie Sue (Early) Morgan. Her survivors include her husband, Larry Dukes; sons, Wes Dukes and his wife Valerie, Darren Dukes and his wife Karen; four grandchildren, Brianna Settle and her husband Thomas, Jenna Abernathy and her husband Stephen, Courtney Dukes, and Kelsey Jackson and her husband Cory; and two great grandchildren.

Kay was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church and was an adult Sunday School teacher at Rock Hill Baptist Church, and later at Lake Bowen Baptist Church. She was the owner of Happy Day Nursery and was a private nanny for various families.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, with Funeral services at 2:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Kenny McDowell. Entombment will be at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs.
