Linda Jean "Mega" Brooks, 77, of 202 Jared Michael Court, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Linda was born in Moore, South Carolina on March 27, 1941, a daughter of the late William "Willie" Hammett and Rose Henderson Hammett. She was the wife of Jerry Eben Brooks. Linda was a graduate of Roebuck High School, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by a son,Todd Brooks and his wife, Melanie, of Simpsonville, South Carolina; a daughter, Tonya Brooks Link and her husband, Anthony, of Campobello, South Carolina. Linda is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Billy, Christina, Cody, Eben, Connor, Dillon, Chole, Cason, Deacon, Breanna, Immanuel, Justus and Colton; two nieces, Cindy and Teri and one nephew, Ronald.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks was predeceased by a daughter, Pameula Brooks and two sisters, Geneva Cudd and Margaret Ann Roper.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, South Carolina, conducted by Rev. Jeremy Wakefield. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of the daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Anthony Link, 250 Sawmill Road, Campobello, South Carolina, 29322.
