Leslie Moody, Jr., 74, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Leslie was born on December 14, 1941, a son of the late Leslie and Louise Porter Moody, Sr. Mr. Moody was a retired employee with Inman Mills and of the Baptist faith.
Leslie is survived by a daughter, Teresa Blackwood and her husband George of Inman, South Carolina and two other daughters, Holly and Molly Johnson and their mother, Sarah Johnson all of Wellford, South Carolina; a brother, Cleo Moody of Inman, South Carolina; a granddaughter, Ashley and a grandson, Elijah.
In addition to his parents, Leslie was predeceased by one brother, Wesley Moody.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Due to a forecast of inclement weather on Friday a memorial service was held at Seawright Funeral Chapel immediately following the visitation conducted by Rev. J.B. Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 701 Grove Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29605.
The families are at their respective homes.
