Laurie Ann Elliott Gregg-Hogge
Boiling Springs, South Carolina

It is with deep sorrow that we notify you of our beautiful and beloved daughter Laurie Gregg Hogge’s passing. Laurie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on May 27, 2024. She was born on September 26,1960 in Newport News,Virginia. She was a graduate of the 1978 class of Spartanburg High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from USCS in 1983.

Laurie enjoyed serving the public as a swim instructor, lifeguard, and aerobic instructor at her community YMCA in Newport News, Virginia. Most recently, she was an active member of the Boiling Springs Senior Center where she enjoyed friends, outings, and teaching chair aerobics. Laurie also served weekly at the local food bank at Spartanburg First Baptist Church. She was an avid animal lover and rescued numerous cats. She had a passion for reading, watching movies, and shopping.

Raised in a Baptist Church in Virginia, she became a Christian at a young age. We take comfort in knowing that she made it to her final home and is resting in the arms of Jesus.

Laurie is survived by her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Charles and Judy Elliott of Poquoson, Virginia, son Matthew Elliott Gregg (Lindsey) of Williamsburg, Virginia, grandson Grayson Elliott Gregg of Williamsburg, Virginia, sister Nancy Elliott Brafford of Charlotte, North Carolina, niece Emily Hadden Poole or Charlotte, North Carolina, uncle Col.
