Kim Whited Peeler, of Roebuck, SC was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, June 24, 2011 after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. She was 54 years old.
A native of Carthage, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Thelma Sadler and the late Bob Armistead. After attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, she moved to Spartan burg, SC in 1979. Ms. Peeler worked for Sally Foster and later became self-employed where she delighted her customers and enriched their lives immensely. Displaying a high level of determination, Ms. Peeler set a great example for those around her and she loved her family immeasurably.
In addition to her mother, Thelma, she is survived by two children, Jennifer Whited McDaniel and her husband Travis of Greer, and Chad Whited and his wife Jill of Inman; two grandchildren, Daniel and Troy Stanley; two brothers, Barry Armistead of Nashville, TN and Bobby Armistead of Moorefield, West Virginia, and a significant other, Preston Rhodes of Roebuck, SC.
A life celebration will be conduced in the Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, SC on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 7:00PM. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Seawright Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 154 Mile Stone Way, Greenville, SC 29615. The family will be at their respective homes.
