Kevin Scott Scales
Kevin Scott Scales, 48, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Friday, January 20th, at his residence. Kevin was born in Spartanburg, SC on September 4, 1963, a son of Nancy E (Wells) Young, of Brokenbow, NE and Robert R Scales, of Winterville, GA.
He was the owner of Auto Pro Automotive Performance and Repair Center in Inman and was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church.
Kevin was the IHRA Quick Rod World Champion in 1997.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is also survived by two sisters, Pamela Anderson, of Denver, CO; April Steele, of Salt Lake City, UT;
two brothers, Matthew Young, of Kearney, NE and Anthony J Crawford, of Colbert, GA. and many loving friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 23, 2012 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will be held at Lake Bowen Baptist Church in Inman at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 24th, with Rev. Mark Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kevin Scales Racing, C/O Seawright Funeral Home, PO Box 192, Inman, SC 29349.
