Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Shipman
Inman, SC---Mr. Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Shipman, 49, of 1161 Hannon Road, Inman died Monday, September 29th, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Polk County, NC on May 12, 1959, he was the son of Louise Lowe Shipman of Inman and the late Billy O. Shipman and the husband of Carmen Givens Shipman.
He was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church.
Other survivors include two daughters, Shannon Bailey and husband Scott of Rutherfordton, Andrea Williams and husband Ray of Forest City, one son, Buck Givens of Forest City, one sister, Lynn Powers and husband Billy of Inman, eight grandchildren, Mitchell Bailey, Cody Bailey, Haley Givens, Jamie Williams, Courtney Williams, Riley Williams, Alexis Parker, and Austin Givens, and a special aunt, Judy Brown of Spartanburg. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Kenny's guardian angels, Mae and Bruce Melton, Lib and Gerald Terry, and Glenda and Alvin Gilbert.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 3:00pm on Thursday, October 2nd, conducted by Rev. Donnan Lawson. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Thursday 2-3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
