Mr. Kenneth Brockman Rogers, 73, of 176 Seigle Drive passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC.
Born in Spartanburg County on May 13, 1940, he was the son of the late Zemora Meldora (Prince) Rogers and Horace Gibson Rogers and was the husband of Hazel (Cox) Rogers. He was first married to the late Janice Pack Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a member of Inman First Baptist Church, a member of the Inman Masonic Lodge # 201 and was a Shriner. He worked in construction for many years and was also the owner and manager of several restaurants. In addition to his wife Hazel, he is survived by three daughters, Cheryl McGraw and her husband Doug of Boiling Springs, Kelly Wright and her husband Dennis of Inman, Chris Bobo and her husband Chuck of Pauline; one brother, Wayne Rogers and his wife Becky of Waxhaw, NC along with seven grandchildren, Lee Dittemore, Jared Dittemore, Betsy Simmons, Marcus Wright, Traci Williams, Melissa Bobo and Benji McGraw and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 10th, with Dr. Henry Johnson and Rev. Paul Alverson Jr. and Rev. Lee Dittemore officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials maybe made to Shriner's Childrens Hospital, 950 Faris Rd.
