Keith Lee Alverson, Sr.
Keith Lee "Squirrel" Alverson, Sr. 71, of 9261 New Cut Road, Campobello, SC, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Lake Emory Post Acute Care in Inman. Keith was born in Campobello, SC on September 18, 1945, a son of the late Fred Furman and Lila (Cantrell) Alverson. He was a self employed car dealer and auto repairman and was of the Baptist faith. Keith is survived by a daughter, Monica Alverson Escobar, of Roebuck; two sons Bryan Keith Alverson (Rhonda), of Chesnee; Barry Lee Alverson, of Chesnee; five sisters, Faye Holcombe (Raymond), of Inman; Marian Bagwell (Larry), of Inman; Nelda Cook (Phil), of Spartanburg; Jane Alexander, of Inman; Bonnie Lewis (Roger), of Spartanburg, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Keith Lee Alverson, Jr. and brother, Larry Alverson. The family is at the home of his sister, 104 Beechwood Drive, Inman and will receive friends Saturday 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 5th, with Mr Herman Whitaker, Rev Joe White and Mr Bryan Alverson officiating. In addition to flowers memorials may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family would like to thank the staff of Spartanburg Regional Heart Center, Lake Emory Post Acute Care and Carla Williams for their loving care for Mr. Alverson.
