Kay West, 81,of Campobello, South Carolina, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Kay was born in Newberry, South Carolina on September 22, 1936, a daughter of the late George and Mary Ellen Bowers Dominick. She was the wife of Robert Edward "Eddie" West, Sr. Mrs. West was a graduate of Furman University, a retired educator with Greenville County School District and a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church in Boiling Springs, South Carolina.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. West is survived by a daughter, Ellen Elizabeth Guarino and her husband, Brett, of Pawley's Island, South Carolina; a son, Robert E. West, Jr. and his wife, Becky, of Greenville, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Vince Guarino and Brandy Guarino, two great-grandchildren, Conner Kilbourne and Ryder Kilbourne.
Visitation will be held, Sunday, October 1, 2017, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM. at New Beginnings United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Boiling Springs, South Carolina, at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2017, conducted by Rev. Terry Fleming.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 210 Rainbow Lake Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316 or to the Greater Spartanburg Ministries, 680 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
