Mrs. Kathleen Waldrop Godfrey, 80, of 510 Thompson Street, Gaffney died Thursday, May 15th, 2008 at Brookview Healthcare in Gaffney. She formerly resided at Gooch Apartments in Spartanburg.
Mrs. Godfrey was born in Spartanburg on January 24, 1928, the daughter of the late Otis A. and Georgia Hall Waldrop. She was a Baptist and a homemaker and was the widow of Robert Matthew Godfrey..
She is survived by her brother, Johnny Waldrop and his wife, Chris of Abbeville and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Post, and her step mother, Rhoda Cannon Waldrop. Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 2:00pm in Landrum City Cemetery conducted by Rev. Kenneth Cash and music by Suzy Waldrop. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends following the services at the gravesite.
