Boiling Springs, SC---Mrs. Katherine Brannon Prince, 90, of 690 Belcher Road, Boiling Springs died Sunday, August 24th, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Prince was born in Spartanburg, SC on October 1, 1917 and was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Ollie High Brannon and the widow of Earl T. Prince.
She retired from Lyman Printing and Finishing and was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg, where she had been a member of the choir for many years. She had also served for several years as a Sunday School teacher and was a member of The Survivors Bible Fellowship Class.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda P. Strickland and her husband David of Boiling Springs, Jean P. Blackwood and her husband Paul of Fairfax, Virginia,one son, Harry E. Prince of Los Angeles,CA, one brother, J.D. Brannon of Fairforest, four grandchildren, Pam Strickland of Boiling Springs, Jill Morris of Spartanburg, Marc Blackwood of Leesburg, Virginia, Chad Blackwood of Windham, New Hampshire, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist North Spartanburg at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27th, with Dr. Michael Hamlet officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday 6:00-8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, S. C.
