Katherine Gosnell

Katherine Gosnell is now at Home and her soul is at peace. She lived a long, fruitfully and impactful earthly life, experiencing a deep and rich spiritual life through the Father; Christ, her Savior; and the Holy Spirit. During that inspiring life, she had a 71-year marriage made in heaven with her husband Cleve; a 33-year rewarding career as an educator and guidance counselor; an adoring family; and many, many caring and loyal friends. Always concerned with the welfare of others, she was an excellent listener and a sage source of common sense and wisdom, especially in times of stress, anxiety or uncertainty.

She has now transitioned to a greater life. Her body was weak, but it is well with her soul. Thanks be to God.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Cleve; her parents, Mamie and Boyd; her brother, James; sister-in-law, Elizabeth; and daughter-in-law, Linda. She is survived by her son, Chick; her granddaughter, Jodi; her great-granddaughters, Scarlett, Layla, and Sophia; her nephew, Chuck, and his family; and cherished cousins in North Carolina and Virginia.

A celebration of life service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 842 Mount Zion Road, Spartanburg, SC on Saturday, October 17 at 2pm, preceded by a visitation in the sanctuary at 1pm. There will be a private internment for the family, at her request.
