Mrs. Katharine Graham Callahan, 93, passed away on February 27, 2015 at her home in Inman, SC after an extended illness.
Mrs. Callahan was the daughter of the late Melvin and Marie Clement Graham and the widow of Willie Lee Callahan. She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church and a very active and longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star holding local and state offices. She was also an accomplished seamstress and worked for many years at Gowan's Men's Shop in Inman, SC.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Mizell of Jonesboro, Ga., sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Graham, step-daughter, Jane Hoops and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Melvin, James and Allan Graham.
The family would like to especially thank her extended family, Susie Hood & family, Virginia Phillips, and her good neighbors, Pete and Jo Ann Waldrop,and Keith (Santa Claus) Dellinger and his wife Karen. Also special thanks go to her caregivers over the years: Carolyn, William and Heather Hall.
Mrs. Callahan was cremated at Seawright Funeral Home.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Katharine Callahan will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Dr. Paul Moore . Interment will be private.
