Karen Scruggs went home to Jesus Thursday, May 17, 2018. She was born in Spartanburg County on October 21, 1963, a daughter of Annie Ruth Vaughn and the late James B. Spearman, Jr. She was the wife of 37 years to Steve Scruggs and was a member of Living Waters Church. Other survivors include her step father, Dillard J. Vaughn, a sister; Sharon S. Bobo, a beloved niece; Annie Goode, step sisters; Ella (Jim) Lewis, Nancy (Rick) Hall, Linda (Jeff) McPeters, and Desiree Powell.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Pauline conducted by Frank Bryant. The family is at the home of her mother at 150 Hickory Hill Dr., Inman and will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Subic Bay Children's Home, c/o Dependent Baptist Church, 761 Windmill Hill Road Inman, SC 29349.
