Karen Gilbert

Inman, SC---Karen Frances Gilbert, 69, of 290 Geddis Road passed away Saturday, March 17th, at her residence.

Born in Spartanburg, SC on September 29, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Bernice (Honeycutt) Ridings. She was the loving wife of Cecil Gilbert having celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Mrs. Gilbert was a graduate of the Boiling Springs High School "Class of 1960".

In addition to her husband, Cecil she is survived by one son, James "Randy" Gilbert and his wife Rita of Inman; one sister, Penny Ridings of Spartanburg; three granddaughters, Brandy Gilbert, Tasha Hawkins and Brittany Fowler and three great grandsons, Mason McCollum, Jaxson Hawkins and Timothy Fowler. She was predeceased by one son, Timothy S. Gilbert and one brother, Roger Ridings.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 2:00PM on Tuesday, March 20th, with Chaplin Matthew Eddleman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
