Kalvin Karl Koenig

Kalvin Karl Koenig, 66, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Born in New Orleans on October 2, 1959, Kalvin was the son of the late Joycelyn (Young) Koenig and Merril George Koenig, Jr. He was the loving husband of Barbara Smith Koenig, having celebrated 42 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his son, Tyler Jay Koenig.

He was a member of New Springs Church and worked 37 years as a Firefighter with the New Orleans Fire Department.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three daughters: Kelsi Pack and husband Will Pack; Kana Gramling and husband Marion Rhett Gramling; and Kali Koenig and fiance' Manny Gonzalez; five grandchildren: Christopher Pack, Josiah Pack, Nathanael Pack, Harper Gramling and Addyson Gramling; one brother, Kirk Koenig and one nephew, Kirk Koenig, Jr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Drew Hankins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
