Justin Lee Jones

We tearfully announce the passing of Justin Lee Jones, 42, from Inman, South Carolina. Justin passed away suddenly at his home on July 24, 2023, of an apparent heart attack.
Justin, born to parents Larry W. and Pamela Dunn Jones, took his first breath at 4:43 a.m. on October 2, 1980, in Wheeling Hospital, W VA.  Justin was a delightful, happy, and mischievous child – a force to be reckoned with from the get-go.  He graduated from Chapman High School in 1999 where he was voted Most Talented – and he was.  He was also a sports aficionado.  He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins! 
While Justin never married, he lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could possibly count. He was the lead vocalist and lyricist for the local Band FOUR DAZE and met literally thousands of people through his music. While Justin sang and wrote music – music was not what he did, it was who he was.  He lived and breathed it – it was part of his soul.  His bandmates meant the world to him and he to them.
  He is survived by his parents, Larry W. and Pamela Dunn Jones, his sister, Karissa Marie Jones and a niece, Alexis M. Krivicich, both of whom also graduated from Chapman High School. He was so proud of Lexie for her scholastic achievements and her selection to play for Converse College Softball. Other surviving family members include his Uncle Clarence (Cindy) Jones, and Aunt Kelli Summers, his Grandmother Eleanore Hunter, and several cousins.  His family was his world, and he theirs.  He was a loving, kind and thoughtful son, brother, nephew and friend.  There are no words to describe how much we will miss him.

The family will conduct a memorial service on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 5:30 PM in the chapel located in Montgomery Student Center at Converse University 580 East Main Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29302.
