Mrs. Julia Eubanks McDowell, 86, of 104 Dillon Dr. Spartanburg died Thursday, November 19th, 2009 at Spring Arbor Residential Care.

Mrs. McDowell was born in Spartanburg County on February 10, 1923, the daughter of the late Ernest and Lilly Johnson Eubanks and was the widow of Clarence William McDowell.

She was a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church in Boiling Springs, retired from textiles, and attended Gramling High School.
Survivors include three sons, William "Bill" McDowell and his wife Connie of Spartanburg, Donald McDowell and his wife Dianne of Cowpens, Michael McDowell of Boiling Springs, a brother, Ernest Eubanks of Campobello, three granddaughters, Katherine M. Bagwell, Julie M. Lancaster, Joy M. Jackson, three great grandsons, and one great granddaughter. She was predeceased by two sisters, Louise Williams and Marian Hayes.
The family will be at her family home and will receive friends Monday following the service at the graveside.
Graveside services will, be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 11:OOam on Monday, November 23rd, conducted by Rev. Danny Garrett and Rev. Ronnie Norris.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring Arbor Residential Care, 104 Dillon Drive Spartanburg, S.C. 29307 in memory of Mrs. McDowell.
